Recognizing the Success of Our Inaugural All-Through and IBDP Graduates



2022-23 IBDP Results

Malvern College Hong Kong’s first cohort of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students achieved outstanding results.

An impressive 50% scored 40 points or higher, with highest individual score of 44 points out of 45. The overall average score was 39.4 points, well above the world average of 30.24 points.



Additionally, 50% of students earned the Bilingual Diploma, while the average grade across all subjects was 6.14, markedly higher than the 2022 world average of 4.97.



The academic achievements of the students were paralleled by their excellence in the fundamental facets of the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. It is noteworthy that 78% of the students garnered grades of A or B in both the ToK and EE components. Moreover, it is of particular merit to observe that the MCHK students achieved an average score of 2.5 out of a possible 3 in the core points, a performance notably surpassing the global average of 1.53 for the year 2022. Notably, the entirety of the student cohort achieved scores of 2 or higher in these core areas.



University Placements

The class of 2023 has applied to programmes across 12 countries and regions, with over 3.1 million Hong Kong dollars in scholarships as of June 3, with more expected after IB results. Overall, 92% of students were admitted to their top-choice programme/university.



Business was the most popular course chosen, followed by social sciences, medicine, law, and sciences. Notable university offers include:
