Come and experience the traditional sports that Malvern is acclaimed for.
Cricket has a long and successful tradition at Malvern College UK, for many decades the school was best known for its cricket, and the school has attained the inevitable position when anyone who has been a member of the first eleven finds a reputation ready-made on leaving school. Malvern College had produced some notable players such as R.E. Foster, arguably the most talented and most famous of the Malvernian cricketers, the only man to have captained England at both cricket and football, and Cuthbert ‘Pinky’ Burnup, an English international who was the first player to score a double century for Kent and play in 100 consecutive Championship matches! With such a rich heritage and history, we are going to bring this outstanding tradition into our Hong Kong campus.
As part of the ‘Experience Malvern’ series, we are going to hold a Cricket Experience Day alongside with Cricket Hong Kong. This workshop aims to give both parents and children an insight of this widely popular sports, especially in countries such as England, India, Australia, South Africa and Pakistan. It will be a great opportunity for children to have a fun day out while learning the importance of teamwork and experiencing the traditional sports that Malvern is renowned for.
